When you visit www.appuworld.com or send e-mails to us, you are communicating with us electronically. You consent to receive communications from us electronically. You agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures and other communications that we provide to you electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.

AppuWorld reserves the right to amend this policy at any point of time by posting the revised Privacy policy on this site. The changes will only affect the information we collect after the effective date of the change to our privacy policy unless we clearly state otherwise.

Privacy Policy

At AppuWorld (www.appuworld.com), we committed to protecting the privacy of our members. We take information security seriously and accordingly uses reasonable administrative, technical and managerial measures to protect member’s personal information from unauthorized access.

From every member we collect and validate the user details. This is for member’s own protection. We will only use this information in conjunction with the products and services that member selects. We do not use or disclose member’s individual personal information to any third parties.

We have partnered with companies/agents/contractors to perform various functions such as web development, logistics, etc. In the course of providing such services, they may gain access to part or whole of your personal information. For example: Your contact numbers will be used only for order and delivery related purposes. AppuWorld will not be liable for any damages that may result from the misuse of your personal information by these companies. For all other purposes, we will communicate with you only through the designated email address that you share with us.

Subscription Break Policy

  • You can take a break anytime during your membership (not necessarily at the end of month). We carry forward your membership for “break period”. The break duration, can be 2 weeks or more.
  • Please inform us at least a week before the break. We will pick up all the toys, before the start of break period.
  • Please note ‘break period’ is considered only if the toys are returned
  • Please inform us whenever you want to re-start, for us to activate your account again and extend your membership.

Damage Policy

    In case of damage, the cost will have to be borne by the member as follows:

  • In case the product is repairable, only actual repair cost will be charged.
  • In case of missing parts, if the spares are available, only actual spare cost will be charged.
  • In case the product is beyond repair/spares are not available, depreciated cost of the toy will be charged and the toy will be given to the member.
  • The costs will be intimidated to the member by AppuWorld. Failure on part of the member to pay such cost will result in termination of membership and all fees paid by the member will be forfeited.
  • AppuWorld is not liable for any loss or damage whether direct or indirect, which occurs as a result of your use of the product and you will indemnify us against any claim by a third party in respect of any loss, damages, injury or liability arising out of this hiring or from the use of the item by or on behalf of you.

Usage Policy

  • Please replace the batteries in case a toy stops working after a few usages, so that kids can continue enjoying the toy. We do check for batteries, but we cannot measure the charge remaining. Hence we request your co-operation in saving batteries.
  • The member must count the number of piece(s) of the delivered product. If the product is found to be incomplete, the member must ensure details of missing piece(s) are informed to library within 24 hours of delivery. Otherwise it will be assumed that the member has lost the piece(s) of the product.
  • AppuWorld is not responsible for any accidents caused during the usage of the products.
  • Parents are to wipe away the toys and books with visible debris (i.e. food, dirt etc.) before returning back to AppuWorld.

Reservation & Exchange Policy

  • Choose toys by your cut-off time. Cut-Off is 24 hours before your delivery day. E.g.: If your delivery day is Monday, reservations till Saturday night will be considered. Reservations after cut-off will not be delivered.
  • If reservation request is not made, we will not come for exchange and will consider it as extension/renewal of products.
  • It is not mandatory to exchange products every week, unless the product is new or ‘On Demand’.
  • Choose products appropriately, for all-round development of your child. Children like to play with all kinds of toys, be willing to experiment and get them engaged. They may not play with some toys, don’t make that a rule. It would just be an exception.
  • Exchange ‘On Demand’ products in two weeks. We have categorized it to help identify that those products need to be in circulation as much as possible.
  • Keep the toys and all the items you are exchanging packed with all its pieces for exchange
  • The maximum number of times that a member can borrow products from AppuWorld in any 30 day period is 4 times. In case, a member borrows less than 4 times in 30 day period, the balance will not be carried forward to any subsequent 30 day period.
  • The maximum period that a toy can remain with a member is 28 days. After that the member has to compulsorily return the products in satisfactory condition, failing which AppuWorld will forfeit the refundable security deposit and all other charges paid by the member. In case the member wants extension pass 28 days, a written application is mandatory. However, extension is at sole discretion of AppuWorld. In case of non-extension the member has to return the products
  • Members are not allowed to exchange toys with friend even if they are members of AppuWorld. All toys must remain at borrowers home.

Payment Policy

  • Payment is preferred by cheque or online transfer.
  • All people willing to enroll as a member of the Library have to pay a onetime non-refundable “Registration fee” of Rs. 300 per membership.
  • All members have to pay a periodical “Subscription Fee” according to the plan chosen by them to avail the services of AppuWorld. Subscription Fee must be paid within a week from the membership renewal date. Only after payment of Subscription fee, members are entitled to borrow products for use.
  • Members must pay “Refundable security deposit” to AppuWorld based upon the subscription plan chosen by them. This deposit will be refunded when the members terminate the membership after deduction of dues (if any) to AppuWorld. Each toy in the Exclusive toys section has a separate security deposit.
  • Registration fee and Subscription fee once paid are non-refundable under any circumstance.
  • Members cannot claim any compensation in any form from AppuWorld in case of delay in home delivery/pickup of any product and also in case of non-availability of any product in circulation.
